How to Customize Form Colors in BeeForm
Open BeeForm Designer
In your Google Form, click the Add-ons icon (puzzle piece) in the top toolbar, choose BeeForm: Pretty Forms Designer, then click 🚀 Open App. The BeeForm Designer opens in a window on top of your form.
Open the Theme Section
In the Settings Panel on the left, click Theme. This is where you set the main colors for the whole form. The page font and an optional background image are here too.
Choose the Primary Color
Click the Primary color swatch. A color picker opens. Choose a color, or enter an exact hex code (for example #FF5733) to match your brand. The primary color is used for accents such as buttons and highlights.
Set the Background Color
Click the Background swatch next to it to set the color behind your form. Under Background Image you can paste an image URL instead of using a plain color.
Style the Form Container and Questions
Open Form Container and use Card Background to set the color of the box that holds your questions. Open Questions to set the Background and Title colors of each question. The Header and Buttons sections have their own colors too.
Save Your Colors
Click the Save icon in the toolbar. BeeForm also auto-saves your design about once a minute.
Tips and Best Practices
- Use colors from your brand guidelines to keep your form consistent with the rest of your materials.
- Make sure text and background have enough contrast. Aim for a ratio of at least 4.5:1.
- Stick to two or three main colors so the form does not feel busy.
- The color picker is your browser's built-in picker, so its tools (hex entry, eyedropper) depend on your browser.
Common Pitfalls to Avoid
- Avoid very bright or neon colors over large areas. They are tiring to read.
- Do not use nearly the same color for the page background and the form container. They need contrast to look separate.
- Check the live preview on a narrow window or your phone, not just on desktop.
